Osteria la Pecora Nera

Pontebernardo, Cuneo province, 1300m asl, high Stura valley, almost at the border with France, 12 souls during the wintertime and hundreds of sheep of sambucano breed.

It's possible for a guy from Marche and one from Pennsylvania to come and live here and manage a small restaurant owned by the Mountain Community of the Valley only satisfying the following skills:

  • to be a little crazy (ask our girlfriends…)
  • to be original "black sheeps"
  • but above all, to be attracted by the calm, the nature, the mountains, the clean air, the fresh source water, the good local food and by a more human life, away from the big cities stress and pollution.

So, what are you waiting for? Take a plunge with us into this little paradise in the hearth of Alps, between deers, marmots, chamoises, lakes, and water streams. We are just a couple of hours from the seaside, around 90' from the Langhe and its wonderful wines famous all over the world and few steps from the French Provence...
